campus reality.

From The State Press, ASU’s student newspaper:

A 16-year-old female was arrested around 3 a.m. Friday on suspicion of being a minor with alcohol in the body, police reported.

Police discovered the female passed out against a parked vehicle in Parking Structure 7 on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

The girl admitted to police to consuming alcohol at the Sigma Pi Fraternity, police reported.

Now I don’t want to be a downer and dark and freak-y out-y, but this is a really sad reality of campus. Clearly, the 16 year old shouldn’t have been drinking but she probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity had there not been a frat party…. but that’s kind of beside the point.

My first thought was that this girl has a mom- who is probably super worried about her.

And 2nd-The girl most likely did not go to this party herself- which means her BFF’s left her, passed out, outside of a parking structure,

alone.

students on campus need love. they need community. and they need Jesus.
